Assessments (Formative/Summative)

Assessment is a process by which information is obtained relative to some known objective or goal. This is being administered to test whether students learned something or need some help in a certain task. We have two types of assessment. These are formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments are given to enhance student's skills and these are non - graded. On the other hand, summative assessments are graded and this is usually given after enough formative assessments has been administered. I usually give this after one or two skills have been taught.

Before the students answer our summative assessments they are asked to answer the Young Lasallian Honor Code, reminding them to be honest and to answer the assessment on their own. These summative assessments are posted in Seesaw or Google Forms.

Some of our summative assessments require the students to record their answers or explanations. They can tap the mic or the camera to record their answers.
